July's new Moon in Cancer occurs on July 4, which is Independence Day in the United States. This is rather interesting in the light of what's happening not only in the US, but in the United Kingdom and all that is going on there with the Brexit vote and it's manifestations. This new Moon is conjunct (together with) Mercury, and the Sabian Symbol for Mercury speaks about new beginnings and the need to mold and shape things so that they turn out to be the best they can be. We need to nurture these new developments, much as a diamond cutter needs to be careful of where to make the next cut.
